DiGiuseppe Interior Design exceeded customer’s expectations by delivering a superior design solution to Ekati Diamond Mine. Deborah DiGiuseppe completely understood what was required.  Not only did she create an environment for employees to eat in a comfortable setting but, also to escape from their daily work in three distinct theme areas.  Deborah recognized the lifestyle and sacrifices these folks make, when they are isolated in the far north.  Their environment is their priority, dedicating twelve or more hours each day, for three or more consecutive weeks, eating four times a day in the same location.  Delivering a fully functional, appropriately designed cafeteria would have met all the requirements of her contract, but Deborah’s innovative approach designed three separate themes: a “Rock n’ Roll section”, an “English Tea” setting and a “Man’s Hunting” area, giving options to people who truly need them and contributing to the rejuvenation of energy expended through long hours in a remote location.

DiGiuseppe Interior Design had one primary objective: to successfully translate the dreams and requirements of the Ekati Diamond Mine into designs that are visually pleasing, physically comfortable and sustainable over a long period of time.
